Navigate parenthood in France with confidence.
Renésens supports expat parents-to-be and new parents, from pregnancy to the return to work: bilingual resources, classes and one-to-one support, in English and in French.
Expecting a baby, or just welcomed your child in France?
Becoming a parent is a profound transformation. Lived far from your usual bearings, in a new country and sometimes in another language, this period can raise even more questions.
How does the French healthcare system work when you are expecting a baby, how do you prepare for your maternity stay, how do you find your footing with a newborn when your family and support network are far away, how do you gradually balance family life, the return to work and new projects?
Parenthood in an expat context often means building new bearings, while learning to gain confidence in your new role.
The Parenting Process
The Parenting Process began with a simple observation: becoming a parent is already an immense transition. Lived in a country whose language, healthcare system and cultural landmarks you do not yet know, it can be more unsettling still.
Because every expectant and new parent deserves to understand what lies ahead and to make their own choices with confidence, Renésens created a journey that supports international families at every stage of their parenthood in France.
Three essential stages of the first steps into parenthood — and we are by your side at every one of them.

Parents share their experience
I've taken two classes with Charline so far and I would absolutely come back for a third! Charline's sessions are the perfect complement to the standard maternity hospital courses. They are packed with valuable info and offer a great mix of theory and practical, real-world advice. She brings so much honesty, empathy, and zero judgment to her teaching. Thank you, Charline, for sharing your expertise and helping us prepare for such an important step!

I am Charline Gervaise, perinatal support consultant.
At Renésens, I bring together several complementary areas of expertise: certified coach, child health assistant in maternity wards, and lactation consultant currently training towards the IBCLC certification. This combination lets me support parents-to-be and new parents at every stage of their journey, from pregnancy to the first months with their baby, and then through the major transitions that follow a child’s arrival.
My commitment to expat families is also deeply personal: having lived abroad myself, I know what it takes to rebuild your bearings in a new country, adapt to another culture and live far from your support network.

Not sure where to start?
Every expat family lives a different reality. Depending on your stage of pregnancy, your arrival in France, your family situation or what you need right now, some forms of support will suit you better than others.
In a first conversation, we take the time to get to know each other and to identify together the resources and support that best answer your situation.
